Trick question. They are both Ruger Mini 14s and operate in the exact same way, firing the exact same rounds. Yet the idiots screaming for gun control would let the top gun slide by what totally freaking out about the "assault rifle" on the bottom. I thought about getting a tactical stock for my Mini 14, but figured anytime someone saw mr loading it into the truck for a day of target shooting they might freakout and have the cops all over me. Just because the tactical stock is so scary!
Now, there's a rifle that's fallen by the wayside, with everyone and his brother making and selling AR-15s, these days!

My introduction to the Mini 14 was working as a prison guard. We had to qualify with one and I was hooked. Bought mine about 12 years ago and will never part with it.
