@eschatologyguy I think you miss the point I was trying to make. Some folks aren't upset about the possibility of a 10-yr old being raped because that is the GOAL of grooming. And, these same folk approve of grooming. So, the MSM focus is on a made-up abortion angle -- pishposhing the possibility of rape -- since they are OK with that.

I believe a number of people involved in this chain gang of dis-information could be charged with a number of crimes either way. It it were true (which it is not) they should be charged with failure to report the crime and if it is untrue they should be charged with making false accusations. But - gov't officials in the Justice system, and who are responsible for pursuing reported child abuse (especially rape resulting pregnancy of a 10 year old). Child Protective Services also ought to have been notified and taken action by reporting the crime to the District Attorney. True or untrue - people would have been indicted already - except these folks are all leftists.

Oh - one more thing. I do not believe any prosecutable crime would be violated by a person crossing State borders in order to get an abortion. The abortion would only be a "crime" in the State that has codified law prohibiting abortion. If carried out in a neighboring State or a State 2000 miles away where abortion is NOT "illegal" then no crime has been violated.

@iThink I'd heard recently on various news reports that a charge of "murder" could be levied against the woman/child who had knowingly crossed state lines to commit the offense deemed illegal in their home state. It kind of makes sense to me if you apply the thinking to a different subject. Remember when Rittenhouse risked being charged with crossing state lines for the purpose (among others) of purchasing a weapon.

Here in USA It is not a crime to buy a firearm in a State other than the one where you reside.

I suppose a State might try to codify a law by which a pregnant woman could receive a charge for murder after having an abortion in another State - I don't see that happening but it seems wildly plausible.

The only way I see to enforce such a law would be to keep tabs on who is pregnant at any and all given times. Either that or all pregnant females or their legal guardians would have to be compelled by law to report their pregnancies to the gov't.
Then what. Would they then have to show proof of live birth at the time it occurs?

The tasks it would take to effectively monitor and enforce such a law would be impossibly burdensome on everyone concerned.

The State would also have to make a law restricting interstate travel for all women of childbearing age - like ages between 12 1/2 to 50? maybe?

Women in that demographic range would not be allowed to go freely across State borders without having first been screened for pregnancy.
Such legal maneuvering and structure obviously violates a persons God Given Rights as lined out in the Bill of Rights.
I just do not see any of that happening.

@toronto_Georgia Quite possible. A while back it was fashionable for even travel agencies (shifty ones) to arrange group travel to areas like Thailand wherein the "use" of a child was provided -- or, "go across the street". Cities/States who heard about this prosecuted those returning.
Strictly legal? Possibly not. But, IMHOpinion hurting a child is a universal crime and everything needs to be done to get rid of the perpetrator.
I would not be the least bit surprised that all 50 states have codes on the books that would make such a practice possible.
