May just be to stop the many managers of the Churches assets from using funds in ways the Pope doesn't agree with. There have been numerous scandals over the years of assets being misused.

I read the article and I fail to see where the story has anything to do with the "global economy". It appears the Catholic Church is gong to centralize their banking and investment strategies in one place - namely the "Institue for Works of Religion"

Does anyone know the source of this story? Is it just another WWW meme or was there a formal pronouncement and if so when and where did the Pope say this.
I cannot help thinking that if this were "real" it would already be all over the "news"

So I am pondering - if by "all funds" is in reference to "monies" - "legal tender" and if and when the global economy collapses then there would be nothing but a great big stockpile of worthless coin and cash. The mints stopped using gold and silver and copper (precious metals) in coins a long time ago. Since folding money is completely "fiat" - nothing to back it up - then what would be the point is stowing / hoarding it in the first place.
Now if the edict from the Vatican were to say "move all assets" then I suppose gold and silver bullion, coins, along with certificates of ownership of certain property (properties) such as deeds free of liens, real property then I guess it would retain some value - somehow.
To me the terminology "funds" translates "money or currency"
I suppose the Roman Catholic churches could collect all valuable pieces of art, sculpture etc...put it in crates and ship it to Vatican City...but then what.
I get the feeling that this message hinting at an "October Surprise" is somewhat like the silly "Y2K hoax - posted without source information; intended to provoke; see what happens leading up to that Sept 30 deadline.
I would think that such an edict as this would be headline news all around the globe. Go figure.
Mind you, I am NOT saying the Global economy isn't going to collapse. I believe it will - probably sooner than later. If and when it does of course there will be societal collapse - civil chaos and I guess we (human culture) will fall off of that bridge when we get there - Funds stashed away in Vatican city notwithstanding.

Obviously they are rolling up the carpet on all of their worldwide assets and shutting the doors. Again, from an entirely different source (world) we have warning of an "October Surprise".

My memory escapes me as to specific details, but it seems over the last several months there have been numerous references to an "October Surprise". The See making such a major announcement suggests we all should have our "heads on a swivel", as army vets would say, and expect a major world event in early October.

Hard to suppose Francis has wholesome designs. That fellow has a bad track record.
