I do have one question. Although there are supposedly several thousand people on this site I seem to interact with only a couple of dozen or so, is that everyone's experience?

There are lots of accounts, but the majority of interaction is probably within 100 people.
Who wants my coins? Looks like the US dollar is heading the same way as my coins have gone.
Like the science of physics - Into the realm of the abstract. It seems that with freedom of speech being decimated that the transformation of the monetary system is about to be unveiled. Yay! National debts can be canceled. We truly will own nothing and be happy.
It seems humanity can no longer live with itself.

I have no idea. I was on Parler for a while but that seemed very narrow. Not well populated.
I presume Slug is not profitable. I don’t see advertising and I wonder what on earth sustains it. If the site were subscription based I’d probably pay something to be on it. But I don’t know if that is feasible.

Why not, I think it could work for most of us. If you could get the top contributor to join things would carry on much as they have for the last year.
How do we renew the certification? Why just roll over and let it happen? I seriously doubt that we will find another site as open and well set up as this.
This could be a metaphor for our Constitution. Will we do what is required to defend it?
I have left a message with the Admin, with no response so far, but I am not done trying things. Ideas?

My forum only has a few active members (out of 53) but people all over the world sure do lurk.
100,000+ posts, with well over ten million views to date.
One thing I hate about changing forums is that you lose the understanding that comes from having a long relationship with commenters. It takes a long time to understand what people are trying to say that you can't get from a few lines of text. Getting to know people is not easy and takes years. That is why we come to forums and not other forms of social media. We all have a tendency to hold back and avoid exposing ourselves to the "slings and arrows" inherent in any social engagement. To take on an identity that is safe or group oriented.

Years ago I might have used my real name but a gaming group I belonged to had a bad experience. One of the players showed up at another players house wanting to kill him. There are a lot of crazy people out there.
Most people belong to more than one forum. Never hurts to lurk a few until you get comfy enough to drop a post or two.
On Rumble already. Maybe I will check Gab out.

Yeah, shame. I think I'll take a break, and maybe at some point check out Gab. Telegram is different in structure of posting and interactions but its great platform. Less North America centric so one can get a better coverage. Gab and Rumble etc, are too American politics centric, and while that is important since its a big influence on the world, it can be limited in terms of topics and views on it. But both Gab and Rumble seems to have a potential for growth and more people joining. So I might check that out.
