"Our side will win" - of this I say there is going to be no winning. EVERYBODY will lose much in such a conflict and whatever happens our country would never again look the way it did before.
Then there is an overlooked question about foreign interference should USA fall into civil war and societal breakdown. Foreign nations will be all too eager to impose themselves in such a conflict in order to take advantage of an opportunity to claim "the former USA" with all its assets for themselves.

An outrage is headed to the U.S., similar to the Civil War, but will be a financial crisis, and as a stated by a previous presidential candidate who slipped and said on live TV, "Control the food, control the people." Retaliation of the people to the government is accomplished by way of taxes, no cash flow, things in government control stop. Weapons will be computers manipulating finances, munitions used by those in the lower extremes, possibly promoted by the government, to cause disruption leading to a police state, marshal law, to control the people. This was a major possibility a few years ago, and some know why Trump is president, not Clinton, also know the government regulates and controls voting. As in the past, when a Democrat businessman becomes a Republican President, as Reagan and Trump, the country prospers with businesses flourishing. But when a person in the Democrat Party assumes the WH, the taxes and government control increases. Now the Democrat Party is motivating U.S. citizens to change their morals and accept government control. Ground Control, we have a problem.
