I think Tim is being pretty fair. Tim is coming from the perspective of his rights being violated and his life being taken away before he was judged in the court of law. In other high profile cases, officers have the backing of the union and get put on administrative leave to investigate. Notice how they were fired immediately? That should tell you something. Now the FBI is getting involved rather quickly...this didn't happen in other cases.
It is fair to criticize anyone in a job and especially people who have power. Police officers have power. We shouldn't judge them as a whole as one bad plumber doesn't mean all plumbers are bad, same with police officers. In this case, he appeared to be in control and George is complaining of breathing. I'm not a cop but I've heard other cops explain that one thing that is important is being measured in a stressful situation. It doesn't appear that he wasn't being measured and his own police department (and appears to be police union) thought so as well.
I will agree, I am also tired of everything being anti-white or that all police are the devil.
