This is what a mentally unhealthy neighbor threw out into the middle of our cul de sac because she was arguing with her boyfriend. We've got a number of kids here. The police didn't care because it's legal to have pot. So I got it off the street so kids wouldn't get it and later have it back to the boyfriend.
In a way I feel like I did the wrong thing.

@ObiRonMoldy I fell into that "Billy" YouTube channel a year or so ago and was simply fascinated by the level of disconnect-- and then it occured to me that it was a put-on, it isn't real but subtle comedy. Turns out "Billy" is a comedienne who specializes in this sort of situational low-key comedy. It's brilliant, IMO. Though so subtle you just don't realize it at first.
@ObiRonMoldy You're smarter than me then. I had to watch a few. But, in my defense, the earlier ones were a lot harder to spot. The later ones, which are the ones that are currently up on the channel, it is pretty obvious, I agree.
A logic person would no sooner leave that laying around unattended where children are present, than they would cases of beer or liquor. You did the right thing because you are clearly logical.

I’ve actually defined responsible adulthood as the state where you start to clean up more net mess on the planet than you create.
Unless you have some severe illness or disability or are terminally parasitic or lazy, or some kind of vandal or thief or violent person, you probably cross the net mess line while hitting parenthood or homemaking or paid employment. That’s what healthy adults do: make and repair stuff and/or clean up mess.
Of course some philosopher like Jordan Peterson has a more flowery take.
