So much for the collegial relationships on the Supreme Court. Wouldn’t you know it was an Obama judge whose guiding standard is her progressive agenda who would go public with her grievances. Everything is politics to these people, so let’s pray for a speedy vacancy so Trump can solidify our majority against hacks like her.

That function is entirely conservative, by definition. The SCOTUS is a conservative institution.
That responsibility is only undermined, not enhanced, by the contributions of those who would rather alter the yardstick itself.
Accordingly, a single Progressive Justice is one too many.
There are roles for Progressives in society, sure there are...
but, being on the Supreme Court is not one of them.

You are correct. The Liberals have no sense of history or duty to use as a guide to their behavior.
I sure hope Trump takes such a chance to put in a true person of justice, and someone who respects the Constitution as opposed to people getting on the court as political favor pay offs. I also hope he remember Roberts was a Bush/republican guy and uses that as a lesson in not what to do

great post - I hope everyone follows the link and reads about Sotomyors breach of protocol and collegiality on the panel of supremes. I did not see the venue in which Sotomyor was speaking - does anyone know where and to whom she was addressing when she made these negative criticisms of the so called conservative members of the court?

I did not see venue either. She was in front of a podium with cherry blossoms behind, so guessing in Washington. She is following the Leftist lawlessness that is supposed to damage the pinnacle of societal progress, allowing the Left to promote themselves as the heroes with the promise to fix the very damage they cause. The dumber half of society will buy this.
@TimTuolomne oh certainly the "dumber side..." but dumb they may be they are a formidable enemy to liberty itself. I look at people like Sotomyor and am amazed at how someone as well read and intelligent can reconcile the obvious fallacy of collectivism with the obvious success and largess of individualism. Dumb people I understand - smart people are often very confounding in the things they say and do.
@iThink Great observation sir. I've asked my psychologist friends about this and the explanation seems to be that intelligence and learning can be completely offset by early childhood trauma, that forges an agenda that every bit of knowledge comes to serve in something called "confirmation bias."
