In 1861, Democrats started the first American Civil War because Republicans refused to return their slaves who had escaped the plantation. In effect the same is happening now as former Democrat voters are flocking in droves to the GOP to escape the mental slavery of the extreme left turn taken by the Democrats. Think about it.

It was a democrat governor who passed out axe handles to keep blacks out of his restaurant in the 60's. Not to mention another democrat governor who stood in the door of a school to block a young black girl from attending. It was the republicans who died by the hundreds of thousands to free blacks from the democrats who held them as slaves.

It can't be ignored that hundreds of thousands of both Union and Confederate soldiers died in the Civil War. Also there is no evidence that I know of that all Union Soldiers were Republican. I have no doubt that the vast majority of the foot soldiers on both sides were mostly non-political. I haven't researched it but I would be willing to wager that fewer than half of the foot soldiers (again - of both sides) were literate.
Yes, I can buy into that. Although it was republican leaders who sent them.
