I agree that the Israeli view of immigration in other countries is inconsistent with their own policy. Of course, relative to the US, Israel is a tiny nation surrounded by Muslim countries and would soon cease to exist if they allowed uncontrolled immigration. Also, they already have a significant Muslim population which explains why such holy sites as Bethlehem and the Temple Mount (The Dome of the Rock) are considered Muslim areas. In fact neither Christians nor Jews are even allowed to pray openly on the Temple Mount due to Islamic restrictions. The Knesset has over a dozen Muslim members. This conversation appears to be veering toward the present state of the JQ, definitely not the original intention of this thread. If you would like to discuss the JQ, you should probably start a new thread, so that others may contribute.
