Indeed, delicious, Grandmahufford! There are some amazingly smart people in the world. War Of The Money Worlds This blog post was the most fun to write .
dmatic comments on Mar 16, 2019:
Loved your "novel", George. Not sure where you are on the spectrum of everybody knowing what's right in their own eyes, as is the case with your gentlemen talking, though one can understand how they got to thinking the way they do. That's real life, isn't it? I think it was last week when 60 minutes had Powell, the newest Fed stooge, and his two predecessors on. Interesting. Anyway: in the first part of your conversation you had Bernanke saying: "Over the past 40 years, monetary policy has certainly provided every incentive to mortgage the future, to pay for present comfort." So true! What a tragedy!
How Are We Going To Pay Down The National Debt??
dmatic comments on Mar 16, 2019:
First thing is to 'nationalize' the Federal Reserve. Let the Treasury print the 'money'...and Congress regulate the value thereof, according to the Constitution. Then, ABOLISH Interest collecting! This is not a sound, nor just, economic model.

Rudeness and arrogance follows....sometimes, and all experts agree....that is not the way to run a respectful debate!

In recent days I have heard it said that Trumps Bible signing in Alabama is blasphemous.
dmatic comments on Mar 13, 2019:
A Bible signed by the President of the United States? Interesting keepsake, if that is the word. At a garage sale one day, I saw a Bible sponsored or printed by an 'evangelist' whereon the name of the 'evangelist' was printed more than any other thing. I thought it odd, so opened it up to find full page pictures of this 'evangelist' reading it in different poses. Don't even know what I want to say about that! I still have it, after I bought it...as evidence of man's pride. (as if any needed evidence).

Interesting conclusion: "This, however, ignores how selling out—rubber stamping big government, embracing globalism, and embarking on nation-building—has been the standard operating procedure for many conservatives throughout the last century. Gun rights will be no different. Gun owners will need to de-program and recognize that decentralization, not the winner-take-all electoral slugfest we see at the federal level every four years, is the best way to secure their gun rights."

I gave it a listen. Thank you for the suggestion. Pretty deep stuff. Takes some heavy concentration to absorb some of it. Or heavy reflection. Will need to continue reflecting as his explanations of "reality" are very intriguing indeed. I loved his definition of humility, when, I think he said something like: it is being deeply aware of your own ignorance. Love that. The Bible says: If any man thinks he knows something, he doesn't yet know it as he ought. I also liked his description of the Walled Garden as something like a combination of nature and culture.... In Logic, then, it does not mean...."the evidence leads us (or begs us) to ask the question....". Correct? Maybe if I could remember what a logical argument was? something about premises or hypothesis which lead to a conclusion? If this and this, then this?

Whereas, before, he may have thought himself to be pro-choice, but, since he discovered that it was actually murder, he was consistent that a woman who got an abortion was guilty of murder if the law had finally been changed to reflect that.

dmatic comments on Mar 5, 2019:
Good question. Not sure what all the economic systems are, but, if tribalism is an economic system, it may not, except for warring thieving tribes. I don't know enough about merchantilism, either. I suppose monarchies, with various forms of kings or dictators, could be viewed as stealing from those who have to give to the kings and their "men". Feudalism...nope..guilty. Israel's system was rather voluntary when it came to storehouses for the poor and leaving fields ungleaned to allow the poor and widows to gather what they needed.

Critical thinking on abortion
dmatic comments on Mar 4, 2019:
This is the crux of all debate, it seems. Who defines what is right and what is wrong? The strongest arguer? The smartest arguer? Does mankind decide? Who is enlightened? Reason? If you are a Christian, you should know that even if someone thinks they KNOW something, they don't yet know it as they ought. And Lean not on your own understanding.... I'm afraid critical thinking is not all that critical.

dmatic comments on Mar 3, 2019:
First, did you write this, Republicae? Thanks, Will now read the second part, after I make a couple of comments. This is a huge and important topic and many people have attempted to understand it. Would like to know how you are defining "money". In my understanding, money is simply a trade convenience. It represents value, but does not need to be value itself. Kinda like an inch represents a measure of length, money represents value and measures it. From the article: "While there have always been critics of bankers, there is a huge difference between free-market banking and the type of banking that we are now subjected to under government authority. In the free-market a banker must abide by the necessity of good business practices otherwise the bank and banker will face insolvency. The government, on the other hand, has an unlimited supply of fiat money or at least the power to product an unlimited supply; additionally, the government is not bound by free-market restrictions, nor, as it appears, are the banks chartered by government." Ok, so you are critical of government. What's new? They have done a terrible job of "fiscal management" and especially after passing the Unconstitutional, and therefore illegal Federal Reserve Act of 1913/14. The government , does not have an unlimited supply of fiat money, but the Federal Reserve does, and it, as a private cabal, entices the federal government to continue its slavery to them....

dmatic comments on Feb 28, 2019:
"never having experienced acute..."? suffering? Just wondering if there was more to your amazing post? I find the level and depth of your writing and thought to be inspiring, though I'm certain I haven't understood it all, yet. Just finished reading it for the 2nd time. Lots to comprehend about your discussion, here, obviously. Thanks. You wrote: "Where Objectivist virtues coincide with Judeo-Christian virtues, it gives a non-sacrificial reason for following them, where it differs, it sets out its reasons. So adherents of the Objectivist Ethics aren’t expected to sacrifice their lives out of duty to commandments accepted on faith, or sacrifice their best interests as a duty to other people or society. They are expected to judge their best interest in an all-aspects-of-a-whole-of-life context, as the nature of our existence demands. E.g. they are expected to appreciate that delayed gratification is not a sacrifice and that respecting the rights of others is not being unselfish, rather these are principled applications of rational pro-life self-interest." If I can begin to try to understand the depth of your efforts, apparently to make sense of "life", or more "sense" (reason), are you defending what you term an Objectivist Ethic? Do you recommend reading more of Ayn Rand? "All-aspects-of-a-whole-of-life" context means what? This present existence only, or would that whole of life include future "lives" too? If that idea is correct? Do you believe in resurrection? Or regeneration, or rre-incarnation? Or, are you suggesting whole -of-life means this present span only, until physical death? Thank you.

This is a reply to a comment about one of my posts.
dmatic comments on Feb 25, 2019:
"Not believing in God is completely" not understandable to me. I, honestly, do not get why some people seem to be proud of "not believing", as if they think themselves stronger, or smarter or something. I can understand not wanting to believe in a God that some people insist he is like. I think God has been misrepresented and misunderstood. Some people apparently claim to know him, but it is evident that they haven't even met him. They seem to be talking about a figment of their own imagination, believing in a god they have made up. Many that I know have created a god in their own image (imagination) and they are very mad at him. I've heard it said that half the people are mad at God, and the other half don't know, or are afraid to admit, that. God takes lots of abuse from his creatures. Thankfully, he isn't swayed by our approval, because he sees more and is infinitely more wise than us humans. He knows what he is doing, but we all have many questions. When one looks scientifically at this world, and honestly, how can one conclude there is not an intelligent Designer? The Creator, our creator, has invited us to look for him and promises to be found by us when we seek him with all our heart. Maybe some don't want to find him because their deeds are evil, but, in the end, they, too, will come to know his love.

I have a core belief that there are inherent inalienable rights.
dmatic comments on Feb 23, 2019:
I suppose you need to define what is a "right", first. Many think we have a right to life, for example, but that does not mean that someone else cannot take that right away. God, of course, is the first cause. The Creator, and yes, He, by right of creation determines definitions, Laws, and Truth.
Here's a thought - how to explain differentiation between libertarianism and anarchism.
dmatic comments on Feb 23, 2019:
Good question, Paisley. Where does the desire for liberty come from? Freedom can be scary if one has to pay the consequences for dumb choices himself. It seems that people desire for others to foot the bill, and, as long as they do, people remain ignorant and do not even seem to want to learn anything. All systems that try to eliminate the natural consequences of poor choices, seems destined to fail, because they create weak and unjust subjects. I'm not sure even Libertarians understand what the 'right size' of government is....so let's keep searching.

Unconscionable! Obviously something brewing in this country. Sad.
Does God define truth, or does it exist independent of him?
dmatic comments on Feb 22, 2019:
Yes, God "defines" truth and nothing exists independent of Him. Not even "evil". He takes credit for creating it as well. (Is. 45:7) He, obviously, has reason for its existence. Don't worry, it will all turn out "good". He and His plan are not malevolent, nor evil.

dmatic comments on Feb 16, 2019:
Possibly, due to an air of non-judgment, or, willingness to listen. Provided, of course, that "liberty" can be agreed upon by both "parties", as a goal.
