The two main political parties will stand, hand in hand with each other, to support this plan. They will sucker their voters into supporting this plan telling everyone is all about saving lives. Truth is the government does not care less about people killing themselves, unless it's one of their own. It's also no coincidence this is coming out right after the sitting administration pulled the stunt of abandoning soldiers in Afghanistan after this mutt they illegally occupying the White House was an illegal VP in an administration that let those men in Benghazi get slaughtered. But hey even republicans will cheer this mutt for caring so much about the veterans returning from war.

Mark my words, the wording here is VERY important. They have these red flag laws that allow the government to kick in your door and steal your property, even killing you if you should resist in any way, all without a warrant based solely on some phone call to the right "official" saying you own a gun and are mentally unstable. With the wording in this it will be used to write laws that will allow government agents to kick in your doors if some mutt reports that a family member of your is mentally unstable and might have access to your weapons.

Imagine you have a cousin that just went through a a bad divorce and is suffering depression. Maybe he said something in a local bar about ending it all for himself and saving himself a few years of misery. Some nut job calls the law telling them your cousin is suicidal (even though he isn't, he was just venting) and that he visits your house a lot, where you have at least one gun. The next day as you sit over breakfast your door is kicked in by a SWAT team coming to confiscate your gun based on that phone call. No validating the information, no worrying about the Constitution, no need to get warrants, and if some trigger happy fruitcake in the SWAT team decides the phone in your hand could possibly be a weapon they open up with 5-10 fully automatic weapons shooting you several times, and perhaps killing some your family. The kicker will be that not only will none of those government agents suffer any negative consequences for their jackbooted efforts of tyranny, they might even get awards for shooting your home up.
