Try every major city in California. You are obviously from Ovomitville...as for President Trump being so against illegals I suggest you research
your butt buddy Ovomit and the Flores Decision where he decreed that children will be removed from their families and approved the building of additional cages. It's easier to blame others than to do the research but that's the liberal way.

One of civilization's great advances was public hygiene. Clean water, sanitary sewage and garbage disposal, and parasite abatement added a good ten years to the average lifespan.
31 to 46 thousand homeless people live in downtown LA (as reported in the Guardian and LA Times, both left leaning newspapers). They live in 3rd world hovels on sidewalks, overpasses and open spaces. The sanitation would drive my nursing instructors into a psychotic breakdown.
We know what causes typhus. And it's breaking out in those encampments. We know what causes cholera and hepatitus. And those are breaking out in the encampments, too. We solved those problems more than century ago in America. Yet here they are again, and we're letting it happen in the name of "compassion."

About 1/3 aren't in shelters. Yes there is a homelessness problem, no it isn't historically bad, no immigrants aren't to blame, no it isn't causing a disease epidemic. Yes public divestment is to blame for the problem and demagoguery is to blame for the hysteria. No, blaming them for social problems and threatening to round them up rather than help them is not the solution.
Do some of our cities have problems related to the effects of policies that fail to promote or actually dissuade utilization of basic public hygiene? Has basic public health become an issue in some cities?
Just curious. I avoid dense populations.

@govols Maybe you're like Trump and picture a '70s-esque hellscape when you think about cities. I know it just "feels true" because you have an image in your head from old crime movies or something.
