One small thing I want to raise with what Amir says here is about little babies being born already sinners. If that were true, then all little babies who die will have nowhere to go but hell. "The soul who sins is the soul who will die" we are told. Babies being born already sinners is an offshoot of a Gnostic concept. Gnostic concepts have permeated the church over the centuries, courtesy of Augustin and Reformers who idolized him. Some of the things we believe as Bible-taught are not really taught in the bible. Psalm 51:5 is not teaching David already a sinner as a baby, but talks about his mother conceiving him in sin. Tamar, who was David's mother 10 generations early did tarnish David's line as bastard, and it was only through a Mosaic law that stated that a child of bastard ancestry could return to the congregation only on the 10th generation that allowed him back in, otherwise he would have been ineligible to sit as king. David was that 10h generation.
All the other things Amir is saying here is kosher, so to speak.
