Refuting John Piper's Anti-Jewish & Anti-Israel Rants & Distortion of The Bible (59:33)
This is not surprising. Origen and Augustin were vocally anti-Israel. This is why those that they influenced, namely the Roman Catholic Church and the various Eastern Orthodox churches, are also largely anti-Semitic. Luther and Calvin, who revered Augustin and believed in Amillennialism like Augustin and Origen did, were also anti-Semitic. So it likewise comes as no surprise that most of the denominations that came out of the Reformation are anti-Semitic. If they aren't vocal about it, at least they don't hold any value to Israel's existence as a nation, Eschatology-wise. There are a minority among the Reformed - John MacArthur among them - who recognize Israel's role in the end times. It seems our Eschatology determines our Israelology.
The bible not partial for or against Palestinians? I don't know what you can make of Isaiah 14:29-32. What do you think it means?
