I'm happy that a prophecy teacher is taking up the book of Obadiah. He nails it in that this event happens pre-Tribulation. Four things that I humbly submit that he's missed though. One (1) is that he views Obadiah and Psalm 83 as separate events. If the end result is their rout, becoming as a "stubble" and Israel "possessing their possession" (i.e. Annexing their land), how can there be a second event? They must be two accounts of the same event. The second (2) is, he misses the significance of Obadiah 1:7, where the surrounding nations mentioned are first at peace with Israel (Abrahamic accords?) before this event happens. Third (3) is that Edom is described in Ezek 25:13 as from Teman (Yemen) to Dedan (Northeastern Arabia), which puts the whole Arabian peninsula in Israeli hands as spoil of war. And fourth, (4) is that it does not focus on Gaza alone. It talks about the surrounding nations.
Gaza is pictured as rejoicing for falling into Israeli rule in Isaiah 14:29 and no longer under the harsh rule of Islam. But the "king of the North" will send a "smoke" that will "dissolve" them (v31) which I believe will be in the middle of the Tribulation. By the way, I don't have an idea where in the bible that says that the antichrist will come from the tribe of Dan. The antichrist is indeed called the Pharoah of Egypt, the king of Babylon, the Prince of Tyre, etc. But he is not called the king of Assyria. He is simply called "the Assyrian" in several passages. This alone would make the interpretation of Gen 49:17 as about the origin of the antichrist doubtful if not inaccurate. Unless it is about geographical location origin, not the actual tribe. Or Gen 49:17 could mean another thing altogether. The snake was their original ensign of the tribe of Dan while they were in the wilderness. They didn't like the snake so they changed it to an eagle with a snake in its beak.
