Is The Bible Telling Us When The Millennial Reign Will Start?

2 Peter 1:16-21
[16] "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
[17] "For He received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to Him from the excellent glory, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
[18] "And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with Him in the holy mount.
[19] "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
[20] "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
[21] "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

When we survey this passage, we see Peter talking about the water baptism of our Lord by John the Baptist, after which the Father's voice was heard from heaven, which Peter and the other Apostles were witnesses to.

Now take a close look at verse 19, where Peter describes something as "more sure" evidence than even the Father's voice from heaven, and that is the "word of prophecy."  This is not incongruous with Psalms 138:2, which says

"I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy Name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy Name."

Now we have His written, prophetic word on our laps, study tables and inside our phones, which we all can readily access, read and reference to. Just as the Jews were given Daniel 9:25 as to when Messiah would be presenting Himself as king to the nation the first time [[[reasonsforhopejesus.com]]], the Jews were also given the timeline when the nation of Israel will be reconciled with Messiah Who they rejected, in Hosea 5:15 up to 6:3. And our Lord says that the generation which witnessed the beginnings of the budding of the fig tree (symbolical of political Israel, in Matt 24:32-34) in 1948, not all passing away until "all these things" come to pass, which would include this Great Reconciliation (arguably heralding the start of Christ's Millennial Reign). Seven year olds in 1948 would be centenarians in 2041, old but conceivably some of them would still be alive.

And we are reading about a confluence of prophesied signs about the end times in current events. My contention is that God has already made His next move known to us in His word. All we need to do was search it out. And everybody can then be Bereans in double checking the data.
