The Royal Observatory working hand in hand with theologians in the late 1800s zeroed in on Sept 11 3BC as the actual birthday of Christ. Still celebrating Christmas but this time as a time to bond with family and friends, not as the Lord's birthday. By the way, 1BC and 1AD are actually the same year as there is no year zero.
Another "trivia:" Christ's triumphal entry happened on the 10th of Nisan (April 6, a Sunday) of 32AD. If we take Exodus 12:3-6 as the pattern for slaying passover lambs (14th of Nisan), then the Lord was crucified 4 days later, on the 10th of April 32AD, a THURSDAY. Three days and three nights in the tomb? Spot on.
