Rev 17:10-11 needs a closer look
Many prophecy buffs say the mess will be coming from Russia. They've probably not figured out Rev 17:10-11 where the 7th empire that plucked the Eastern leg of the Roman empire (the Byzantine empire) were the Ottomans, and the passage seem to indicate that this 7th empire is going to be revived as the 8th. And we're now seeing jihadists everywhere working hard to revive the caliphate. It now makes its own fighter jets, drones, tanks, attack helicopters, missiles, subs and warships. It now has an army bigger than France's, Germany's and the UK's combined.
And it is also now in negotiations with the Pakistanis for thermo-nuclear technology. In preparation for what?
Sure, Russia is trying to project the image of solidarity with Turkey and Iran. It is because Russia is weak conventionally, and it wants to sell war materiél to these countries, just as the US is selling war materiél to the Gulf States. But if you take a closer look at this Northern alliance, however, you will discover that it is not a rock solid alliance. You'll have a better chance living in Russia. Not so with Turkey. Turkey is not your friend.
We read that the revived caliphate will not last long. Sadly, their defeat will not be the end of the bad news, because those who defeat it will also be turning on each other (the allegorical 2nd horseman of the Apocalypse of Rev 6:4). "The sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light" sounds like some kind of nuclear winter to me. This is why we have Matt 24:22.
