I read a good article, I felt that explained 'deserved suffering'. Quite simply, it said when we sin, suffering may be the Lord's way of leading us to repent, get back on track. So often I gave heard on other social media how...the bible promotes slavery, as if slavery 3,000 years ago equates to what it is today. I raise this issue bcuz I think the Torah had a good answer for people who lost their living. There was no Welfare.
