So... what do you think about Kamala Harris?

Does she have what it takes to be the next US President? That is, if Biden is pushed to retire after the election. Aside from satisfying Biden's strict race and gender requirements (irony), what do you think was his motivation in choosing her over other black female candidates? Are you happy with his choice?

She is ineligible to be President . She is an anchor baby from foreigners .

Yep, and mom moved her and her sister up to Canada in the early 1970's. Canadian citizenship required to live, work and attend school there. Doh!

When did Kameltoe return to the US and where are her immigration and naturalization papers?

@Die_Grinder Good question . Apparently , some lives matter , but borders don't

Wikipedia says she was born in Oakland. Do you have a source to think otherwise?

I picked have little impact, but it's close to something else. I think nothing can harm Biden but himself currently. He's put his racist foot in his mouth too many times. Honestly, I view the entire notion of having race and gender requirements over actually qualification as blatant pandering as well as a few "ist's". Not saying Harris isn't qualified, just not much value in a rigged fight.

I'm unsure if other people view it the same way as me. It doesn't appear that Bidens in charge of his own run for Presidency. Like, he just pops up once in a while, reads some lines, does the thing, then after inevitably saying something stupid, he disappears. I think Harris will to the majority of the talking for Biden (under the guise of inclusiveness of race and gender or some other "woke" reasoning) She's good at playing into the hands of whoever she's talking to, but she's inconsistent and it's hard to pin point what she actually believes or thinks. I'll have to see more in order to figure that out. Either way, I've already made my mind up not to vote Democrat. Too much insincerity as well as "white man bad" kind of stuff coming from them to change my mind.

“A 1994 Los Angeles Times report about then-California Assembly Speaker Brown's "rush to hand out patronage jobs" described Harris as Brown's "frequent companion" and said several people referred to her as Brown's girlfriend. That report also cited a column from the Chronicle's Herb Caen that called Harris "the Speaker's new steady." When they met, she was 29 and Brown was 60.”

All politicians suck, she just used that to her advantage and sucked her way into the VP position. 🤣🤣

@pnw1234 yup😂 or put another way, they’re all whores, and she just went literal whore on top of her figurative whoredom

Kamala Devi Harris, born October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California.
The 14th Amendment says: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States . . . are citizens of the United States.” And the Supreme Court confirmed that anyone born on US soil is a citizen.
Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was a breast cancer scientist who had emigrated from Tamil Nadu, India, in 1960 to pursue a doctorate in endocrinology at UC Berkeley. Her father, Donald J. Harris, is a Stanford University emeritus professor of economics, who emigrated from British Jamaica in 1961 for graduate study in economics at UC Berkeley.
Her parents divorced when she was seven. When she was 12, Harris and her sister moved with their mother to Montreal, Canada, where their mother had accepted a research and teaching position at the McGill University-affiliated Jewish General Hospital. Harris attended a French-speaking middle school, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, and then Westmount High School in Westmount, Quebec, graduating in 1981.
After high school, Harris attended Howard University, a historically black university in Washington, D.C. While at Howard, she interned as a mail room clerk for California senator Alan Cranston, chaired the economics society, led the debate team and joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Harris graduated from Howard in 1986 with a degree in political science and economics.
Harris then returned to California to attend law school at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law through its Legal Education Opportunity Program for students from adverse backgrounds. She graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1989 and was admitted to the California Bar in June 1990.

Very nice. You gave a detailed explanation. I know President Trump had a proposal to end anchor babies. Not if this applies.

The problem with that Narrative is two fold, it lies in at least three places.

A.) the narrative falsely claims ( and this is important for Harris) that her parents were immigrants. That simply is not true. The parents were here as foreign Students and were here on Student Visas, and had no right to be here to "Immigrate." In fact while both parents stayed her beyond their Student Visas (7 yrs) neither attempted to naturalize to become US citizens.

B.) In order for Harris's mom to immigrate to Canada and take her children with her to live and work, she would have had to renounce her Indian citizenship and become Canadian. Same goes for her two daughters who were born mere citizens of the United States. They omit facts here, which is also a form of lying and is intended to mislead people.

Canada did not allow for Dual Citizenship in the 1960's and '70's, so unless you had some special waver and worked for a foreign company that did business in Canada, you had to become a naturalized Canadian citizen to work and attend school there.

Harris's mom renounced Kamala's US citizenship and made her a Canadian.

C.) The narrative sites the 14th Amendment that considers all who are born here to be US Citizens, but lies by conveniently leaving out fact. Fact is there are carve-outs, exceptions to, and restrictions on the 14th Amendment and the false narrative that all who are born here are citizens. That narrative is simply not true and they lie by leaving out the rest of the passage in the 14th A. For a child born here to be considered a US Citizen, the parents have to be here lawfully and living under the Jurisdiction of the USA. Also the foreign parents have rights, and have the ability to reject the USA conferring it's birthright citizenship on their child if they so chose to.

Merely meeting all the criteria of the 14th Amendment and being born here lawfully and being considered a US citizen at birth, does not make one a Natural Born Citizen under the Constitution for the purposes of eligibility to become President of the United States..

For that you can't be born with any foreign allegiances. Kamala Harris was born a daughter of India and Jamaica as her parents were still lawful citizens of those foreign countries and both their countries have claim on little Kamala at birth. Also the foreign parents have certain rights under both US and International Law.

That such conflicts exist for Kamala Harris, dictate that she is NOT a Natural Born Citizen of the United States of America, and she perhaps is not at all even legally considered to be a US citizen born here at all.

Then you couple all this with the known fact, in order to live and work and attend school as she did in Canada, Kamala Harris's mother would have had to renounce her daughter's US citizenship and naturalize her to become a Canadian citizen.

These are ALL disqualifying factors, against Kamala Harris being Constitutionally eligible to be president of the United States, under the Natural Born Citizen Claus.

The Founding Fathers specifically said that that Claus was there to avoid such messy foreign entanglements and decided allegiances.

@Die_Grinder It doesn't lie anywhere YOU just don't like facing the truth.....

@Lightman Wrong, your narrative lies in the specific instances as I laid them out.

Technically the 14th Amendment does not apply to Kamala Harris because her parents were only here on Student Visas.

Anyway you stack it she's not eligible to be president of the United States of America because she's NOT a Natural Born Citizen.

@Die_Grinder You re wrong.... time to admit it.

So many politicians & public sector representatives are so deceitful & have no honor, changing positions on critical issues over time when it becomes convenient for them to do so, that it's hard to believe they stayin office for so long and that you just can't see consistency over a long period of time...thus too difficult to trust any of them.
It's just so incredulous, the lives of career politicians

I am from the UK so do not have a dog in this fight, but this choice tells me that either Biden does not want to win, or America is in serious trouble if he does. There is video evidence of him creeping around women and making highly racist comments live on air. We all know by now that he believes he has the power to define what truly makes someone black - it;s voting for him! And now he proposes to elect a VP who put 15'000 people in jail for weed violations and laughed about it when someone asked her if she smoked it, and kept an innocent man on death row until she was forced to release him...and she calls herself progressive? Can you imagine what the media would have done if Trump had announced someone with her track record as running mate in 2016?
Where are the cries out for social justice from the BLM, Antifa, or Me Too movement against Biden/Harris? They have done more than enough to stoke their wrath...
Oh...she's the first woman of color to be nominated VP?
Well, I guess that makes it OK then. They have learned NOTHING from 2016!

If I was an American it would be Trump 2020 for me.

Harris - as a woman and a POC - will help #Biden get re-elected. She's no better or worse than a junior US Senator from Illinois who stormed the White House in 2008.

Apart from that, Biden was my second-favorite in Dem field of candidates because he's old, stubborn, and unlikely to do anything too radical (Tulsi Gabbard was my fav). If Harris becomes POTUS, and has a friendly Congress to promote her agenda, the country's totally screwed. It's screwed anyway, it will just be on the fast track to oblivion if she's in charge and Congress is cooperative.

Personally, I don't think it matters much who is elected. I don't like Trump much better than Biden; I happen to dislike them both quite a bit tho. The country's going straight to shit, so we might as well get it over with. #SeeYouInTheStreets, comrades. 🤷♂️

Not bloody likely....

Kamala Harris and her principles have done more harm than good to the black community.

Obama picked her.

Biden didn't choose her. She was assigned. I don't think she'll make a difference. She'll maybe secure a few more female and black votes, but she's alienated a lot of people. I'd call it a wash.

2

She's not likable.

2

I think whether or not Kamala Harris could be a good president is less important than the fact that We have a running presidential candidate that is legitimately attempting a soft coup by running for president knowing full well he'll be stepping down and installing his subordinate, possibly immediately but definitely during, his term is the relevant bit.

We are a nation of legal and political precedent. Take care what you allow to be set.

Biden speaks in colours all the time, it really irks me... Kamala was right calling him racist.

2

She was just a token choice...
Identity politics is what it was all bout.
Woman... tick
"Black"... tick

Extra points for two foreign born parents.
Plus bonus points:
—Jamaican heritage.
—Indian (South Asian) heritage.

@GeeMac OK, first off GeeMac, Harris's parents were NEVER immigrants to the United States of America, so that statement is just totally wrong. Both of Kamala Harris's parents were here on student Visas and were barred from working or staying here after their studies were completed or their student visa clock ran out. They had to leave, the girls baby daddy went home to Jamaica after the mother split and took the kids to live in Canada, where she and her daughters became a Canadian citizens.

Neither parent attempted to naturalize to become a US citizen. Fact they both hated the USA and participated in anti-US protests according to Harris. They were Marxist subversives, and that's how they got here, just like Obama's dad.

Back then Canada did not allow for dual citizenship for those naturalizing to Canada, so she would have had to renounce her Indian citizenship and the American citizenship of her two daughters. You could not work or send your kids to school without being a Canadian citizen back then.

@Die_Grinder Thanks for settling that straight - I’ll edit to change the word “immigrant” to “foreign born”.

Sorry for my sloppy use of the word “immigrant”, which to me, covers anyone not born in the country - and clearly Kamala’s parents were foreigners not born in the USA.

The point I was making is that the woke-left will give her extra points for having been conceived by two people not tainted by American birth.

Let’s hope she and Sleepy Joe are soundly defeated so we can stop discussing her altogether. 👍

@GeeMac Yep, we are in agreement there. Just saw that and wanted to use it to make a point. Words and language do have meaning, and the Left is exploiting this. To further another agenda to destroy the Constitution of the United States of America, and make it mean and say any God damned silly thing they want it to.

My point was that the Left and their Media are all over the place right now, claiming that her parents were "immigrants" as well. But you are right about the points scored. However what the Leftist media would have us believe is not true. Imagine that.

So they subliminally want that slipped into our unconscious thinking and our speech as acceptable. You probably heard that they were immigrants 30 times before you wrote something here.

Immigrant implies "came here to become American citizens" but they were here merely on Student Visas and were required to leave after their studies were done or the Visa timed out.

The Left keeps wanting the 14th Amendment to apply to pregnant women who come to the USA on Vacation too. That's not what the 14th is for.

So not only are her birth parents from two completely separate countries, countries that also have a rights to claim Kamala Harris as a native citizen of their respective nations. Nations have rights and vested interest in their citizenry. Parents also have rights, even Foreign parents who just happen to give birth to their child in the USA. We don't get first dibs on the nationality of their baby, they do and so do their home nations. The Left seems to forget that, and only cares about what the Left wants.

The Left also forgets that the two parents never bothered to, nor ever desired to immigrate and naturalize to become US citizens, at the time they hooked up in the USA and got pregnant or after the birth of their two daughters, while living here attending often violent anti-American protests in the 1960's.

They have also failed to adequately explain the move to Canada prior to Segregationist Joe Biden's big school busing plan.

@Die_Grinder here in Canada, there’s a massive anchor baby industry in Richmond, a Chinese majority community outside Vancouver. Rich, mainland Chinese women come to high end private facilities there to deliver their babies, then fly home to China with a newborn Canadian citizen. The kids are sent back to Canada for university, and are then able to sponsor their whole extended family for citizenship here.

@GeeMac Yes, that is happening here in the United States now too. Here in the US it's because the Liberals have taken over the courts and are ignoring the Constitution and making a mockery of our laws.

I suspect something similar happened in Canada in the 1970's as well

2

I've shaken hands with her. She is going to be a great vice president. What my conservative friends don't seem to understand is she a law and order candidate. She was and is ready to throw people in jail. Joe Biden was happy in his younger days to build prisons. Joe is getting old. He needs someone who can take over quickly if and when the inevitable happens.

Absolutely right. In fact her law and order record has made her unpopular with the hard left in the Democratic Party. My issue with Sen. Harris is the disingenuous, self-serving attack, smearing Joe Biden as a racist. She knew it was a false accusation, and one which would deepen divisions and social unrest, but she was willing to let America pay that price so she could score a few points.

It says everything we need to know about Kamila Harris.

Yeah, no. She was just a power hungry whore, that slept her way to the top

2

Kamala Harris has not been as stupid and idiotic as other females of 'colour' in the Democratic Party, which makes it possible that she may avoid mistakes in the campaign. Perhaps she may help Biden in avoiding foolish remarks, though i think Biden is beyond help. Her hair seems to be naturally straight, therefore i don't think she can convincingly pass as a black American, more so as she is a descendant of slave owners.

Corjova Level 6 Aug 12, 2020

Her hair is straight mostly because her mother is from India and her father is descendents of Jamaican aristocrats.

[very graphic video of amputation as punishment in Somalia removed by @Admin]

Really ? Her Open Borders is the worse thing they could do here.

@Admin did you remove your own video?

@JVIP-WTPNN Yep. Toss up between her, Herr Hitlery, and Pokahauntus Warren.

I think Harris is actually the more dangerous candidate between herself and Warren. Hitlery takes the cake though, murdered way more people and her graft and corruption is Global in scope come pared to these other two pretenders to the throne.

Biden wanted a woman who was "simpatico." That meant that she would have to be somewhat similar in politics and have a personal connection. In politics, they are both centrists. I did not think they had a personal connection, but she did make a connection with Biden's son Beau when they were both AGs. Biden's age is another consideration, and Kamala is young but qualified. Moreover, her age, background, and the fact that she is relatively fresh on the scene make it easier to posture as a progressive. And to her credit, despite her positions, her voting record is progressive. There are other calculi in making a VP pick, of course. Typically, the Democrats have picked a white centrist man from a swing state to appeal to mythical white moderate swing voters. With increasing polarization, the Democrats are waking up to the fact that there are far more voters to gain from left leaning independents. Democratic constituencies such as liberal women and the black middle class already vote very reliably, and their turnout will be boosted in this election by anti-Trump sentiment. Biden could have appealed to less reliable progressives and the black working class by picking a more progressive black candidate (at least not a former prosecutor like Kamala), but his candidacy is so strong with the aforementioned reliable voters and the emergence of diverse millennials, particularly in the suburbs, as a reliable bloc, that he can confidently shut them out. Likewise, there would have been little relative value in picking someone from a swing state. So he made the best "diverse," "simpatico," young, fresh, qualified, centrist pick available to him.

@WilyRickWiles That's a very astute analysis.

What ever lies you have to tell yourself to sleep at night, rick.

Kameltoe's a drug addict and is not constitutionally eligible to be president, she is not a Natural Born citizen.

@Die_Grinder I'm not a fan of Kamala, but I do have a grasp on reality.

@WilyRickWiles Not if you are seriously calling Kamala Harris a "centrist" with a straight face.

2

This has more to do with uniting the DNC rather than appeal to the middle ground as well as trying to stop Trump winning a historic inroad into the black vote.

2

I think it is the Dems way of showing support for BLM for lame stream media. She is their token woman that is black and it fits the narrow requirements that they call being politically correct.

1

Is Harris a hypocrite?
Does she have double standards?
Is power more important to her than the truth?

Harris is a political shape shifter, always willing to change position, she too has gone far to the left, though not as far as many others in the Democratic Party. But, depressingly, she revels in the culture wars at their most vituperative. They have made her famous, especially her role in abusing and condemning Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh when an uncorroborated allegation of long ago sexual assault was made against him. Naturally, Harris did not uphold anything like this standard when a much more credible accusation was made by a woman against Biden. Other Democratic presidential candidates have gone to the centre with their veep pick; Biden went left.

My guess, is the answer to all those questions is a definite YES.....

I think his "handlers" went pliable with Kamala. The Dems latest way to hold power is to keep real Power in few hands and elect puppets, with a nice crease to their trouser leg! (or pants suit)

1

"Kamala" in the Finnish language literally means 'horrible' .... So, there it is. Ha!
It's not just the coincidence!

1

Doublethink... Democrat style...

Kamala Harris

In her 2009 book, “Smart on Crime,” she wrote that “if we take a show of hands of those who would like to see more police officers on the street, mine would shoot up,” adding that “virtually all law-abiding citizens feel safer when they see officers walking a beat.”

Earlier this summer, in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, she told The New York Times that “it is status-quo thinking to believe that putting more police on the streets creates more safety. That’s wrong. It’s just wrong.”

The Biden Harris duo (I find it difficult to call them a “ team” as they do have a certain history) will present as moderate with an edge that appeals to the looting left. The SJW Harris will need to keep both the loony and looting left placated and still present to the centre as moderate. Not easy, but the mainstream media will do their duty, as they see it, and keep her attractive to the centrist dems. I think it’s called flim flam! The bulk of the party know there is a better than even chance of President Harris appearing before the end of Biden’s first term so it is all looking good. A fair dinkum debate between the four candidates for office would be riveting viewing.

Tulsi Gabbard did not hold back after telling the California senator that she should apologize to the people who "suffered" under her "reign" as prosecutor.

Hawaii senator Gabbard attacked Harris' past as prosecutor, which led to the mass incarceration of Black and Brown communities.

"When you were in a position to impact these people's lives you did not and worse yet in the case of those on death row, innocent people, you actually blocked evidence that would have freed them, until you were forced to do that, and the people who suffered under your reign as prosecutor, you owe them an apology," Gabbard said.
