Communism isn't exclusively a secular movement, as religion / theology is not the same as political systemics. One could say that Capitalism is also secular movement, as there is nothing inherently religious about it. In fact, Capitalism is probably more of a secular movement, as supply and demand and the constant quest for more money and greed is pretty antithetical to a lot of religious ideals. Socialism is actually more in line with what Christ preached. When we talk about Secularism, we mean governing based on scientific data and societal benefit, and not injecting arbitrary religious dogma. There are definitely some good parts of Judeo-Christian values, but that doesn't mean they are exclusive to Judaism or Christianity. Plenty of religions have rules against murder or theft, and many societies had these types of rules unconnected with their religions. The Hyde Amendment already exists, tax dollars cannot go to abortion. However, tax dollars do go to religious institutions, violating the First Amendment rights of many tax payers. The Catholic Church received $3.5 billion in COVID relief last year. Military missionaries get their government salaries paid for by taxpayers. Public money grants can go to religious schools. As I said previously on this comment thread, the Catholic Church in Philadelphia receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding to run adoption agencies, and yet discriminates on who can adopt. The continued abortion restriction legislation in states has finally achieved its goal - get the SCOTUS to finally hear one of these cases, and get the chance to have them make a new ruling and strike down RvW. Hopefully you are right, and they would never strike it down, but it is much easier to do so and currently on the table right - something that isn't remotely happening with the 2A.

1000 more children are killed by motor vehicles each year in the USA than guns. Do we ban cars? Just gasoline/diesel ones? One more statistic you need to have. Majority of gun deaths are suicides...not homicides. Here is another fact you should have. Almost 60% of firearm deaths in the USA ...

Who said anything about banning guns? Is it not a fact that guns are less regulated than women's bodies? Can women legally sell sex for money outside of Nevada? Can someone legally sell a gun? Also if you want to use cars to make a point... we require all people who use cars to take an aptitude test before being granted a license. You must register your car and inspect it every year to make sure it doesn't pose a danger. You are required to have insurance to cover the costs of any damage you cause. If you show yourself to be careless, whether that is just going slightly over the speed limit, your right to drive can be easily taken away. We consistently take license away from people who become dangers, such as old people who can't see well anymore. So, do you want to regulate guns like we do cars?
