My GF and her entire family have been historically left of center & socialist leaning- Democrats - Lately though, she has been very disappointed with how the values of her party have been abandoned

Our first goal was to get the site working. Yep, it's 100% custom. Once the feature set settles down, we can adjust the look. Hopefully, the form of the website will be optimized to match it's goals - one of which is to introduce members and ideas with each others. Thanks!

We're championing truth, facts, and reason regardless if they may hurt someone's feelings. We want to promote the fact that any preclusion of reasoned, humanistic, and civil opinion is evil. I left the UK many years ago, but I understand your fears. I honestly don't know if there is a solution to the "Islam" issue being inimical to western ideas. They seem to be stuck in a century long gone, and until they catch up, we will continue to have cultural conflicts. It's very sad; back in the '70's I had many Muslim friends, exchange students from the middle east. Everything seemed to go bad with the Ayatollah Khomeini.

When the founders of this country were putting our constitution together. along with all of the other rules, like the Electoral College, they were thinking ahead to address some of the problems they could foresee coming. I don’t understand how when the territories started to become states and they were all writing their individual state constitutions, why did they not see that those founding the country could foresee a problem with tyranny of the population centers on a national level but these guys writing the state constitutions couldn’t foresee it at the state level. The states need it every bit as much as the federal level does.
