Hello. I am a Hispanic and agree with the conservatives views that I know. I live in Puerto Rico and lived in 4 different U.S. states. It really hurts me to see how my people are really dependent on the government and the government in here put many impediments for people to be self sufficient. It has turned slowly to a socialist island and people seems to think this is how the rest of the world is. There is no knowledge of what conservative ideas are even though the mayority of the country is Christian and Christianity is very well openly preached on the streets. I have found by talking to people in PR that many believe that the only party that is good is Democratic because if you are not a Democrat, then you don't believe in Democracy. I have found many people in conservative websites, claiming to be conservative that suggest with their comments that minorities are unimportant. I would like to know your opinion about this matter. I believe in less government control and in capitalism, although I agree with social programs that help the less fortunate, but I do not believe in healthy and capable people that are parasitic of others. I am a U.S. veteran and I believe if you served the U.S. country for one whole term, then you should be granted citizenship, but that is not the case, as I have seen with friends when I was in the military. Let me know your opinions as I do like to listen to other views.

i think making anything more relevant then being an american is unamerican. who gives a sh-t what you are?? dose it matter to you?? well i won't matter to real Americans one little bit. no such thing as African american.. why make color or race a title changing issue?? we are a republic first. that means all the wacko dems can't force yo into or out of any freedom.. your rights are protected from the mom democracy people think america is...

@towerace123 republican and democrat are the same thing... there is no right or left american commie sheople

Having listened to Jordan Perterson and Ben Shapiro, for a man my age its is refreshing to hear that the whole world hasn't lost their collective minds, or is it us?

I am not likely to remember the name of this group but if I see posts from it in my feed I will be more active.

I'm working on some ideas on how to simplify the main page (groups and general posts). For now, there are 2 news feeds.

@Admin Since there's an IDW sub in Reddit, it would be helpful to post there from time to time to c'mon over and check this out.

@BlueHornet That would be awesome! If you post there, use the promote link so you can get some points. [slug.com]

The site format should be akin to a Facebook clone. Not sure if you're going to get the traction you could with this model.

We're evolving the design a bit every day. My guess is that we'll converge over time. Most of the work was go to get the backend work done, now it's polish mode 🙂

I think it would be hard for someone who is not already a fan of one of the main figures of the IDW to find a place on this site. I do not know how big your team is or what kind of resources you have, but perhaps some sort of video outlining each of the (biggest) IDW members' views (or a separate video for each one added to their bios) would help people to decide to join a group. And maybe the groups centered around specific people could be called something other than "fan" groups. I am part of a couple of such groups and I would not consider myself a fan of the figures, but I do like to see what kind of thought is going into the posts in these groups.

Agreed that we need to start adding more value to communicate the ideas of the IDW. We'll start that this week - will take a few weeks to get it live.

Hoping this site will attract young voters who need solid information - history, economics, virtue, and healthy relationships and recreation. Intellectual and spiritual growth require proper guidance and encouragement. Good conversation is essential in the human experience.

Yes, especially once we get more content for voters.

Have a button or click on list to see people or groups you want to look at. Have the main ideas or comments the only thing taking up most of the page. This is a good site but too busy right now.

We have some work to do on the main page to make it more simple. It will be our focus in the next few days.

I think a “question of the day” selected and discussed could try to focus people into one topic.

Yep! Thinking of a featured question or video every day so to help focus the community on a daily idea. ?

What a breath of fresh air being here.
I'm from Northern Ontario just recently moved to southern Ontario. My daughter is being taught in school of feminism and her views are tilted that direction. I teach her that impowering young women is great and I want her to succeed in life but life is in balance and that the views of extreme to take with a grain of salt. Listening and understanding can there be harmony.

As a retired educator, I am most concerned by the lack of knowledge students have today about American history and American Exceptionalism, in favor of pushing a Socialist agenda. My other concern is that freedom of speech is increasingly threatened. I’m here for the exchange of ideas and the access to Peterson’s Walsh’s, Levin’s, etc. writings and speeches.

Our first phase is community. Next will be more educational resources on the movement.

It would be helpful to have the capability to hover and/or right-click on a user's avatar to follow (or unfollow), rather than have to navigate to the user's profile page and click "follow" there. (The extra steps will tend to limit followers, if only because of laziness.)

On desktop, if you click on the "3 line" button, you can follow anyone there. Fast enough for you? 😉

Excited to be here!

Thanks Admin, I will

I am reminded and reminding myself to be truthful and honest as this seems to be in such short supply these days. As Eric Hoffer said, “Those in possession of absolute power can not only prophesy and make their prophecies come true, but they can also lie, and make their lies come true”.

I think as long as you stick to your original intentions you will be fine. Dont allow this to get as convoluted as Facebook or as biased

Yeah, we're thinking more about design now. Do we want to be more reddit or Facebook. I'm thinking something in between where longer posts and comments are encouraged. FB seems to get more one-liners. Reddit a bit too tangled.

New to this site and can't find the HOME button to take me back to the front screen?

Click the IDW logo and it'll go to the main page.

I hope this site will remain free of sanctions for speech. I am so tired of Facebook telling me I have violated their community standards for posting somethin about Muslims or CHRISTIANITY. Tired of being in Facebook jail!!

Just remember to humanize any enemy that you might have. I have to re-read the "turn the other cheek" passage as to how many times are you required to turn cheek before speaking your mind?

Make sure to get a very strong backend hosting provider and all that other tech infrastructure, because the rest of the interface improvements tend to flow naturally once you have everything you need to support it. More is always better.

On infrastructure, yes, more is better. In design less is more. Go figure! Yep, we're working on both ends to make the site better. Thanks for patience 🙂

Considering that someone like Jordan Peterson is a prominent member of the IDW I find it peculiar that "Psychology/Sociology" would not be one of the topics of choice when summiting a post. ???

Great catch! I added "Psychology/Sociology" and "Love & Relationships".

When I started listening to Ben and Dave I would have considered myself liberal. Now I'm a constitutional conservative. A big thank you to everyone who kindly debated with me, you all helped open my eyes to the hypocrisy of the left. I will always support free thinkers and freedom.

Wow, that's a pretty big jump on the surface but not incompatible to share both liberal and conservative viewpoints. It's also helpful to share concerns when deciding on policies.

There is an option available for category posts that does not seem to be available for group posts. It is called 'link', and is available at the button that says [+post] above, right next to the button that says 'browse'. It is a nice way to post a link, but it doesn't let you put it in a group. (Just 'share to' a group, which really works poorly)

Is there a way to search for members? One member keeps wanting be to be 'friends' but I can't find them on this site.

Yes. Click browse then members. There is a search form there.

I just got here! 😀
Let me look around and I'll get back to you.

Thank you, I'm an Australian male who is fed up with my government running my country with an illegal constitution, it started back in the 70's when the government of the day signed us up to the UN Lima agreement, subsequent governments ignored a peoples referendum and rewrote the constitution instilling 3 tiers of government, AGAIN against a referendum vote, we have 1 or 2 honest senators speaking to the British privvy council, we are living on hope...
