If you define smart as speed, some computers are already smarter. But AI depends on the programmer. What did the programmer teach it to do? Like your kids. Did you bring them up to be considerate, safe, or ax murderers? There should have been discussion about that before just anyone should be allowed the resources to create AI. Which political party will AI be? Will AI respect your medical privacy? These and many other decisions are about to be in the hands of someone you've never heard of. As for me, I object.

Always inspiring that someone is so smart that they know a better way in spite of history, and that they are willing to risk the lives of millions more to prove it. (sarcasm)

Several factual errors in the presentation: 1. A Tesla coil is another name for a transformer that can change input voltage to a different output voltage, but not the frequency. 2. Tesla's idea of sending power through the air proved unworkable. Not impossible, just unsafe. 3. Reagan's "Star Wars" was an intentionally leaked idea which had just enough testing by the military to convince the Soviets that it actually existed, which it did not. The dissolution of the Soviet Union occurred largely because of that gambit. The Soviets attempted to counter Star Wars by over-extending their economy to develop counter measures, until it collapsed, proving two things: A. Marxist control of economics and supposed ability to overcome supply and demand economics was a complete failure. B. Investing in technology as if it is inevitable is foolish.
Voting ‘no’ for Voice to Parliament doesn’t make people racist: Alex Antic [youtube.com]

Antic is correct that the Constitution in Australia either protects the rights of the people or it doesn't. TimTuolomne comments on Feb 25, 2023:
By March, 2021 the death rates from all causes were known and could not be hidden by Fauci and friends. That showed that the death rate had not increased in 2020. It also showed that flu rates mysteriously went almost to zero, which could only happen if COVID-19 deaths had been falsified. What did Fauci, the NIH, the CDC, WHO and others do? They doubled down on the lockdown & masks - which had all along been proved by almost countless studies to be worthless, and insistence on forcing the experimental vaccine on the public, government agencies and the military. The vaccine had no accountability if it went wrong, and no FDA approval. Now medical professionals are coming out of the woodwork warning of the adverse effects of the vaccine. And the death rate in 2021 went to 3.4 million, up from around 2.5 million in 2018, 2019 and 2020. That could only be because of the vaccine. None of those harmed have any recourse against the makers of the the vaccine, thanks to Fauci and friends. I say its time to go after all of them with the full force of the law.

The speaker clearly has no technical understanding about the subjects of her monologue. 1. Air transportation creates the same gasses as cars, but less of it. They aren't unusual gasses and have no particular special effects, especially since the EPA clamped down on emissions in the 80s and 90s. Calling jet engine water vapor trails "chem trails" is a propaganda invention by the dupes of Marxists and their sympathizers. 2. Atmospheric CO2 is already at historic lows in the history of the Earth, and we should be grateful that humans have increased it slightly to prevent the loss of all plant life on Earth, so we can still breathe. There was no Oxygen on Earth before plant life. Easy to verify, and a chart is attached. 3. Ionizations experiments have already proved to everyone except conspiracy theorists - who I have noticed usually have no education, that the energy required to affect the weather, or even trigger ongoing weather processes, are so high as to be beyond human reach. How do I know these things? I am a mechanical engineer, with experience in the power, air filtration, nuclear, manufacturing, and solar thermal renewables industries. Here is something put out about the UN a few years back: "Economist Says Global Synchronized Growth ‘Very Likely’ in 2020 “A shocking statement was made by a United Nations official Christiana Figueres at a news conference in Brussels. Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism. She said very casually: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.” She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.” “ Keep following the dupes of Marxists and their sympathizers at the peril of the existence of the United States of America.

StrategyPage: New Toroidal Propellors Could Revolutionize Aircraft and Ships.
TimTuolomne comments on Feb 25, 2023:
Successfully keeping the weight down for aircraft will determine if "toroidal" propellers become useful in air. For small applications, such as four-thruster drones, they will probably work fairly well. Not so sure about larger aircraft. But for marine applications, they will be perfect, and have probably already been in use for a while by the military; ours and theirs. The recovery of radially escaping flow back into the thrusting airstream reduces cavitation at higher speeds in water, and tip vortices in air, while recovering some energy. In addition, a wing slot has long been known to keep flow attached in marginal conditions. Dragonflies have double wings on each side that tend to capture vortices between the wings and multiply lift. In the case of a deeper angle of attack, the coupled lift generates greater thrust. But the greater surface area costs more drag loss - particularly in air at higher speeds.

Tell me the difference between the Bagdad bombing 2003 by the US and Ukraine bombing by Russia?
TimTuolomne comments on Feb 24, 2023:
Bagdad was about possible nuclear weapons, which Saddam Hussein threatened to use. I heard him. We had to assume it was true, in a place far from our borders, so otherwise not strategically significant. We were not going to lose our oil because the Sauds were our allies in that conflict. Ukraine is on Russia's doorstep, and Crimea is regarded by Russia as an essential strategic port. Threats by Zelensky, who is quite capable of that, and NATO, to jeopardize Crimea, and the Russian part of Ukraine, would have been regarded as requiring a strong response - a lot like our response to the Soviets over missiles in Cuba in 1962. So I'd say vastly different.

How many will have been claimed as lost which were lost some other way beforehand. Its been a brutal winter and lots of businesses are still struggling from the lockdowns. Many of them in the midWest are farmers, and many are desperately trying to stay afloat financially this year. Disasters like this always bring out ambulance chasers who start big claims as fast as they can. So does it make any sense that there are no human injuries while 45,000 animals were killed? And if you check the MSDS sheets on almost all of the compounds spilled, their toxicities are fairly moderate, and their environmental hazards are moderate as well. That still means they have to clean them up, almost regardless of how benign they are. Remember the media did not think this worthy of reporting for two days. Now they are doing their very best to inflate the numbers and generate as much panic as they can, to keep people tuned in and the advertising dollars flowing.

Overheated axles can happen when wheel bearings fail. And they fail for lots of reasons, including corrosives, failed seals - so dirt gets in them, heavy impacts and overloads. When wheel bearings fail, its metal on metal at high loads, which can get white hot very fast, and melt through a heavy axle in minutes. Meanwhile, the air passing over it is superheated and will set fire to anything combustible for some distance downstream. It probably happens far more often than the media reports. The first clue is lots of smoke as the bearing material vaporizes. If the operators manage to catch it in time and set the car on a siding until it can be repaired, nothing happens. But they only have minutes to see it, and there is not much more boring than spending a shift riding the track for hundreds of miles. Pretty challenging to stay alert.
[rumble.com] - What Can You Do If You Have Spike Protein In Your Body?
TimTuolomne comments on Feb 24, 2023:
We all have "spike protein" in our bodies. Its what gave all of us some resistance to the more efficient spike proteins in COVID-19. But the narrative continues as if COVID-19 were something dangerous. In reality it has proved by the death rates to be less dangerous than the annual flu. And it has proved to be about as effective as the cold or flu as taking out the folks with co-morbidities annually. Easy to look up. Death rates from all causes did not increase in 2020. But flu rates disappeared. How could that happen, unless COVID-19 deaths were falsified? They were. There was no pandemic. But if you were effectively terrorized by the legacy media, Fauci & the NIH, the CDC falsehoods, and the WHO's incompetence, you almost couldn't help but see confirmation everywhere - even though it doesn't exist, that there was a pandemic. The data they had no control over tells you a different story. What about China? Well, what better way to coerce a resistive public toward Xi's new hard line? What about Sweden? They never locked down and fared much better than anyone else. Time to wake up about COVID, and start going after Fauci and friends.

No, not coincidence. Most populated areas have more risk of calamity. But not a hidden conspiracy. EXCEPT that, the dupes of Marxists and their sympathizers have been doing their very best to create a fear mentality in Americans for the last hundred years, in which Americans are most manipulable away from our Constitution and toward Marxism. That has already happened in Russian history, China, parts of Africa, Cuba, Southeast Asia, and even Australia. Unless Americans wake up and vote out every single representative who is intent on further compromising our Constitution, which includes all Democrats and their philosophically similar Marxists, we will fall as has most of the World already. No one is perfect, so who decides when good is good enough to get to Heaven for a Hindu, a Scientologist, an ancestor worshiper, or a volcano worshiper...? Well, no one. There is no arisen Savior in those philosophies, who has proven the cross-dimensional capability, and promised to be such a gateway. Do they get to decide for themselves? Nice trick if they have figured out how to transcend the realities between our Universe and the greater reality. We have no access to anything beyond our 4 dimensions of reality in our Universe. No machines. How would they manage that? Does mere belief count? Maybe delusion counts? And maybe after Earthly life the truth becomes known, that God made Earth for us to become sentient, and to survive as souls after life here, and that the only way to Him is through Jesus Christ, as we are clearly told in the Holy Bible. Will Christ recommend anyone who disbelieved in Him, when Scripture clearly says He will not? Remember Scripture predicted the big picture of Christ's purpose 5000 years ahead of time, and the efficient Romans documented everything completely, as was their law. The ROMANS proved that Scripture was right. I would not be counting on Heaven without faith in Christ, who promised that my mere imperfect faith would be enough. Good thing, because my very best effort and works would never qualify. No one would. And given a greater reality, which some physicists figure exists according to the math teased out of this reality, I surely would not be risking any other path without knowing what else might happen to me.

TimTuolomne comments on Feb 23, 2023:
This article refers to the "Israeli occupation." Israelites have lived in that area, known as Palestine at least since 1500BC. So have the Arabs. EVERYONE in that area known as are "Palestinians," including the Israelis. Its in the Bible, and plenty of other references. Self named "Palestinians" rejected the offer of their own land almost a dozen times since the British relinquished control of the area to Israelis in "Eretz Israel," and left the Arabs to define the other areas. "Palestinians" repeatedly rejected land offers because it was conditional on allowing Israel to continue to exist. The Arabs intentionally left three quarters of a million Arab refugees to twist in the wind when the Arabs attacked Israel in 1949, settling them in refugee camps and NOT offering them immigration status in surrounding Arab countries. They did that to their own fellow Arabs to attempt to sway World opinion against Israel. The dumber half of the World is buying the propaganda against Israel. People like Vanessa Redgrave, who supported criminals and terrorists like Yasser Arafat. After the 6 day war in 1967, Israel again won and ended up with the West Bank. If Arabs had not attacked again, that would not have happened. Israel did not ask the Arabs to leave, and encourages Arabs and Israelis to live in harmony in the West Bank. "Palestinians" have no claim to that land any more than anyone else, lost the land to Israel by Arab action, and are there ONLY by the grace of Israel. Now 5.6 million "Palestinians" are hardly anyone of the original refugees, yet they ALL have refugee status and claim land the British ceded to Israel in 1949. Why does the UN have only one aid organization that has not retired and allows Palestinians to "inherit" refugee status? OIL. The deal is that the West will keep quiet about what the Arabs have done to the "Palestinians" and the UN has allowed, in exchange for access to oil. Americans should thank their lucky stars that Israel exists, because they are the front line against Muslim aggression against the West. Don't believe it? What happened when Israel left Gaza entirely to the "Palestinians"? It became the terrorist base of Hamas, which has been spending millions on weapons and attacking Israel for decades, while its people the "Palestinians," suffer starvation and disease. If Israel did not exist and the Arabs had nothing vested in keeping them from existing, there would be nothing they would want from us, the West would have had no oil from the middle East, and I bet the Arabs would be overtly targeting us for destruction instead of Israel. Lots of people blame oil for everything bad that happens in the World. In the case of Israel, its actually true. But oil is not forever, ...

TimTuolomne comments on Feb 22, 2023:
Just the beginning. We have 33 trillion dollars of debt to pay down before it stops. That's more than $100,000 from every taxpayer for nothing in return, except for a normal economy if we can manage it. Can we? Not in a lifetime for most of us. And if you think that the top third of the taxpayers who already pay 80% of the taxes (look it up) are going to just let their reps demand more of them, think again. They are just going to tell the "free-lunch" crowd to f*ck off. Thanks Democrats. You've guaranteed our children and their children in poverty pretty much all their lives. And special thanks to Democrat voters, who still think there's a free lunch in there somehow. There isn't. They elected those parasites, got $600 a few times a year in exchange for $100,000 of debt, and keep electing them even as things go down the tubes more every day, and they still think no one is going to send them a bill. The bill will come in inflation, making their paycheck no longer enough to buy food AND gas. How dumb can they be? And where do you think most that money went? The GAO can't find 9 trillion dollars. That's enough to steal every election until the year 3000. The rest of that was probably already spent to defeat Republicans across the country for the last 50 years. The Democrats actually told us so, and laughed at us because we let them.

Sounds like someone is spending millions on testing the TSA screening. The existence of the TSA is admission to the World that the terrorists won. We became terrorized. If we were not, we would have stepped up law enforcement, as is Constitutional. Our Constitution actually does not allow crime PREVENTION. The idea of crime prevention is inherently a compromise of rights protected by the Constitution. Americans just rolled over and accepted that, which terrorists to this day consider a victory.

Exactly correct. The more autonomous a field platoon is, the better they are at adapting to opportunities on the battlefield. The greater the top-down authority driven a platoon is, there will always be a delay in getting instructions from higher leadership, while the autonomous platoon may have already defeated them. I believe Sun Tsu and Western military experts agree on that point, and it may be one reason the allies prevailed in WWII. Our "Rules of Engagement" comprised a top-down rule that removed field autonomy, and may have contributed to our defeat in VietNam, and general failure after that to prevail, as in Afghanistan. General Schwartzkopf only agreed to move on Iraq with full autonomy, and George W. Bush gave it to him. If we go into a full-on battle with less than full autonomy now, such as LGBT rules, and/or troops crippled by the experimental vaccine, and the opposition has no such limitations, we are sure to be defeated, no matter how advanced our technology. I have no idea what is true in Russia or Ukraine. That whole region is nothing but deception.

This is a direct result of the public deciding which technologies are best, partly influenced by the global-warming oriented government, and false advertising by the solar energy and wind industries. But that would not have worked without the public already so biased that they could not make an informed decision if their lives depended on it. And if they keep doing that, sooner or later it will come to that.

TimTuolomne comments on Feb 21, 2023:
I don’t doubt the study I guess, however there are a significant number of us who would rather work than do anything else - including go on vacation. And there are a number of organizational psychology studies that suggest a 40 hour workweek - not much more and not much less, to be ideal for the health and stability of most people. Finally, 4 day workweeks have a way of morphing back into 5 day workweek, including more hours.
